FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - A 17-year-old Farmington boy accused in a fatal shooting has been arrested on unrelated drug charges.

The Daily Times reports (https://bit.ly/1DMs24Y) that police took the youth in custody earlier this month after searching a Farmington home.

According to a search warrant, officers seized unidentified drugs, a scale, a gun and ammunition in the Oct. 9 raid.

The suspect faces charges of conspiracy to commit trafficking, possession of a dangerous firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police also arrested 33-year-old Aaron Eaton, who faces multiple charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 17-year-old, who The Associated Press is not identifying because of his age, had murder charges dropped last month in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Seth Stallings because of insufficient evidence.

Charges could be refiled.
