MONROE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A natural gas leak has forced the temporary evacuation of several families from a southeast Michigan mobile home park.

The Monroe News reports (https://bit.ly/1wxxODc ) that firefighters were called to the Meadowbrook Estates mobile home park in Monroe Township about 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

The newspaper reports that one trailer had explosive amounts of gas leaking into it. No one was home.

The gas was shut off and firefighters opened the mobile home’s doors and windows to allow the gas to dissipate.

Families from adjacent mobile homes were kept away for about 45 minutes. The mobile home park is about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.
