CENTEREACH, N.Y. (AP) - One man is dead and two others are injured after two vans collided on Long Island.

The accident happened at 1:14 a.m. Saturday in Centereach.

Newsday says photos show that a taxi van collided head-on with a Ramada Inn airport van.

Police say the driver of one of the vans was ejected from the vehicle and killed.

He was identified as 51-year-old Samir Patel of Holtsville.

Patel’s passenger and the driver of the other vehicle were injured. They are being treated at Stony Brook University Hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
