NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - Police have arrested a motorist accused of striking several pedestrians, killing one of them, in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Investigators say 33-year-old Hugo Cruz-Gregorio of Norwalk fled the scene on foot after hitting three people walking on a city street Friday evening. One of the victims later died at a hospital.

The victims’ identities have not been released.

Police say charges against Cruz-Gregorio include second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence, operating an unregistered vehicle, and operating without a license. Police say Cruz-Gregorio was being held Saturday on a $750,000 bond. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
