COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A 17-year-old central Ohio youth has been convicted of murder in adult court in the slaying of a 15-year-old rival gang member.

The Columbus Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1oCX8sF ) reports that Jesean Callender was found guilty of aggravated murder and other charges Friday by a jury in Franklin County.

Prosecutors say Callender gunned down 15-year-old Kaewaun Coleman on Jan. 17, 2013, as a crowd gathered for a fight in an alley.

Callender - who was 16 at the time of the shooting and already had a lengthy criminal record - will be sentenced Nov. 6.

In evidence during the four-day trial were numerous obscene Facebook posts and videos that county prosecutors said helped prove that Callender had threatened Coleman because the teen had “disrespected” him and his gang.
