BOVINA, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they’ve determined that a car stolen in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains is not linked to the man being sought for the killing of a Pennsylvania state trooper.

Pennsylvania State Police spokeswoman Connie Devens said Saturday that authorities ruled out any connection to 31-year-old Eric Frein (freen).

A2012 Porsche Cayman that was reported stolen a week ago turned up about 100 miles north of the Poconos in Bovina (boh-VY’-nuh), New York.

Frein is accused of opening fire at police barracks last month, killing one trooper and injuring a second. A manhunt remains underway.
