WILLISTON PARK, N.Y. (AP) - A Staten island man has been arrested on charges he made bomb threats against Nassau County police facilities.

Detectives say 52-year-old John Hardy called Nassau’s Third Precinct on Wednesday threatening to kill everyone by placing a bomb in the precinct.

They say that a short time later, Hardy called the department’s Emergency Call Center and said he had left a bag of dynamite inside the doorway of the precinct. The building in Williston Park was searched and no explosives were found.

Hardy was arrested Saturday on Staten Island on charges of making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment.

He will be arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.

No information on a lawyer for Hardy was immediately available.
