CANASTOTA, N.Y. (AP) - Two men face robbery charges after police say they attacked a 63-year-old man in an apartment complex in central New York.

Madison County officials alerted the public after the robbery at 9 p.m. Saturday in Canastota. The Madison County Fire Department’s Facebook page warned people that two armed robbery suspects “dressed in full camo” were at large.

Multiple police agencies helped track down the pair, who were arrested two hours after the attack.

Canastota Police Chief James Zophy tells the Syracuse Post-Standard (https://bit.ly/1xskIYi ) that 20-year-old Joseph McCormick and 28-year-old Michael Putman entered an apartment building and robbed a man at knifepoint. Both are from Rome.

McCormick and Putman were charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and other offenses. They were arraigned in Canastota Village Court and sent to Madison County jail on bail.
