ATLANTA (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Atlanta that left a one-year-old boy wounded.

The boy’s grandmother Keesha Jordan tells WSB-TV the two were leaving a birthday party Saturday night when shots were fired in the parking lot of the apartment complex they were walking through.

The boy was wounded in one of his arms and police say he was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Egleston. Authorities say the boy is in stable condition.

Details on the suspect and the circumstances that led to the shooting weren’t immediately available. The boy’s relatives are urging neighbors to call police with information on the suspected shooter.
