NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities have confirmed a body found in Percy Priest Lake is that of a Davidson County man who had been missing for several days.

According to media reports, a fisherman made the discovery around noon on Saturday.

The body was later identified as 49-year-old Troy Stafford of Antioch, a community in south Nashville. He had gone fishing on the lake Wednesday, but never came home.

Stafford’s daughter contacted police after discovering his truck and boat trailer.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officials believe Stafford may have fallen overboard while fishing. They say he was not wearing a life vest.

Stafford’s family said he could not swim.
