NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Nashville man has been charged with raping a 3-year-old girl.

WKRN-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1oLgdJ4) that 19-year-old Jonathan Chambliss was taken into custody last week. He is accused of raping the child during a family gathering in Murfreesboro on June 14.

Authorities say a family member witnessed the crime and contacted the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

Chambliss was indicted on one count of aggravated rape of a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery. He was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $300,000 bond and was still there on Sunday.

Jail records did not list an attorney for Chambliss.
