SCRIBA, N.Y. (AP) - The Oswego County Sheriff’s office says one person has been taken to a hospital after a car went into Lake Ontario.

Deputies tell local media outlets that a resident of Lockhaven Beach Road in Scriba called 911 at 5:44 a.m. Sunday to report a car in the water.

One person was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. Sheriff’s deputies say the person is expected to survive.

No further details were released, including the person’s identity.
