RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno-area Toys for Tots organizers are collecting donations to replace hundreds of toys stolen from a trailer belonging to the charity.

Toys for Tots coordinator Ken Santor says the padlocked trailer was stolen last week from the office of the local Marine Corps League Detachment, which runs the toy charity.

Santor says more than 300 donated toys had been in the trailer, which was found empty and damaged along a road Friday.

He says historic military uniforms and other items had also been stored in the trailer and were stolen.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (https://on.rgj.com/1snBt28 ) the group set up a toy donation booth in northwest Reno on Saturday to replenish the stolen toy donations.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Reno police.
