LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming has accepted 20 new students to its medical education program this fall.

The UW medical program is made available through an agreement with the University of Washington School of Medicine.

The Wyoming medical students spend their first year taking classes at UW before spending their second year in classes at the University of Washington in Seattle. They then spend their third and fourth years in clinical rotations throughout a five-state region.

Wyoming students who complete the program must return to their home state to practice for three years after completing residency or repay the state the amount of money it cost to send them to med school.
