BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate who escaped from the Beckley Correctional Center is back in custody.

Police began searching for 29-year-old Jeremy Lee White on Friday after he was reported missing during a headcount.

Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety spokesman Lawrence Messina tells The Register-Herald (https://bit.ly/1uZEWGc ) that White turned himself in Saturday. White was taken to Mount Olive Correctional Complex.

White was convicted in Boone County of daytime burglary and fraud with an access device.
