BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The Army Corps of Engineers is holding public meetings in the two capital cities in the Dakotas this week on its draft operating plan for the Missouri River.

The meetings will include a presentation on the 2014 operations and on plans for managing the river’s system of reservoirs in 2015. There also will be question-and-answer sessions, and opportunities for members of the public and others to speak one-on-one with corps officials.

Meetings are scheduled Tuesday for 11 a.m. at the Bismarck Event Center in Bismarck and for 6 p.m. at the Capitol Lake Visitor Center in Pierre.

The corps is holding similar meetings this week in Montana, Missouri and Iowa.
