WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say the driver of an SUV has been killed in a fiery crash on a southwest Ohio highway.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says the SUV was traveling southbound on state Route 128 in Whitewater Township on Monday when the driver missed a curve and drove off the side of the road.

Authorities say the vehicle landed in a creek bed, where it rolled over onto its top and caught fire.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office has not yet released his name, pending notification of his family.

It’s not yet known if drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash, which remains under investigation.
