MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Life University in Marietta is planning to develop a campus in Rome, Italy.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1zzqbBQ) that Life’s board of trustees last week voted to move forward with the plan.

Officials say the Rome campus would offer a Doctor of Chiropractic degree — the same degree offered at the Georgia campus.

The Marietta newspaper reports that the curriculum at the Italian campus would be similar to that offered in Marietta, and that it’s designed to allow American students to complete a portion or all of their degrees in Italy while receiving federal financial aid benefits.

Life University President Guy Riekeman said the campus is the product of a partnership with the Italian Chiropractic Association, various Italian educational institutions and government agencies.
