DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - A Davenport man has pleaded not guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide in the crash deaths of two Illinois men.

The Quad-City Times reports (https://bit.ly/1su7DJC ) that 24-year-old Kai Miller entered the pleas last week in Davenport. He is also charged with operating while intoxicated and two counts of serious injury by vehicle in connection to the crash early on Sept. 28 in Davenport.

Authorities say Miller’s car collided with a vehicle carrying 21-year-old Andrew Scott Adams and 22-year-old Danny DeBacker, both of Orion, Illinois. Another passenger in Adams’ car, 21-year-old Kaleb Hougland, also of Orion, was treated at a Davenport medical center.

An affidavit says Miller acknowledged to police that he drank several alcoholic beverages before driving.
