FREDERICKSBURG, Iowa (AP) - A 58-year-old woman has died more than two weeks after being burned in a fire at her northeast Iowa home.

Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg says Sandra “Sandy” Hamann died Thursday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Authorities say the fire erupted early in the morning on Oct. 8 at her rural Fredericksburg house. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1xvpowo ) that Hamann suffered burns on more than 40 percent of her body.

Her three dogs and five cats died in the blaze. The fire cause is being investigated.
