LEWISTON, Maine (AP) - Police are still awaiting the results of a state Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy of a baby found unresponsive in a Lewiston bathtub.

The Sun Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1wtTKRv ) the autopsy report could be finished in early November. State police spokesman Steve McCausland says the case is still under investigation and cannot be finished without the report.

Police say the 11-month-old boy’s father was giving him a bath on Oct. 20 with a 2-year-old sister when the father left the room. The father returned to find the boy unresponsive. The baby was later declared dead on arrival at Central Maine Medical Center.
