NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (AP) - A North Adams woman is heading to court to face drug charges after a weekend traffic stop.

Police say 26-year-old Cassandra McInnis is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in North Adams District Court on charges including possession with intent to distribute heroin, intent to distribute narcotics within a school zone, and motor vehicle infractions.

A state trooper pulled McInnis over at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday for a motor vehicle infraction.

During the stop the trooper discovered 83 bags of heroin in the car.

McInnis was released on bail.
