FOREST CITY, Iowa (AP) - A northern Iowa postmaster has been accused of stealing prescription pain medications from the mail.

Mason City television station KIMT reports (https://bit.ly/1oODWbk ) that Danny Miller has been indicted and is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court in Sioux City on Wednesday. Miller’s attorney didn’t immediately return a call Monday from The Associated Press.

Court document say Miller is charged with theft of mail by a postal service employee. He was appointed Forest City postmaster in 2012.
