COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control is receiving a grant of more than $2.2 million to provide services to mothers and children.

South Carolina U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn announced the grant from the federal Department of Health and Human Services on Monday.

Last month, the state received another grant of $4.6 million so DHEC could expand primary health care services.
