TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A mechanic for Tucson’s city water department has lost his job because of sexual harassment allegations.

The Arizona Daily Star reported (https://bit.ly/1wAcYoR) Sunday that city records show Juan Durazo was fired in June after a colleague said he was the victim of repeated harassment.

The co-worker, whose name was redacted in the documents, says the incident occurred after he and Durazo got into an argument at a job site in April.

Tucson Water officials say other employees confirmed the victim’s complaint.

Workers told investigators that Durazo made sexually suggestive remarks to them, grabbed them and poked them in the buttocks with tools when they bent over.

In a written response to the city, Durazo denied the allegations. He called his colleagues’ statements lies motivated by jealousy.
