LAUREL, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a Jones County woman was injured when her car struck a bridge, flipped into a dry creek bed and caught fire Saturday morning.

Fire investigator Linda Cranford did not identify the woman but says her injuries were not life-threatening.

She tells WDAM-TV (https://bit.ly/1rwcdXr) the woman was driving along Indian Springs Road when the accident happened.

Cranford says the woman managed to get out of the vehicle and flagged down a passing motorist for help.

She was treated at South Central Regional Medical Center.

Cause of the accident remains under investigation.
