CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released the name of a woman whose body was found near a creek in Chickasha.

The OSBI said Tuesday that the remains are those of Elizabeth Alice Barnes of Chickasha. The body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

The body was found Friday along Line Creek by a worker mowing grass and Chickasha police asked the OSBI to assist in the investigation.

The OSBI says a fingerprint from the body was used to identify Barnes and that the death is considered suspicious.
