EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - An exhibition of Chinese contemporary art opens this week at the Eli and Edythe Broad (BROHD) Art Museum at Michigan State University.

Titled “Future Returns: Contemporary Art from China,” the exhibit features the work of 21 artists. It opens Thursday and runs through March 8.

The exhibition explores the responses of artists to China’s culture, history and changing society. It includes paintings, photography, site-specific installations, digital art and documentary films. It’s organized by Wang Chunchen, the museum’s adjunct curator.
