CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Center for Professional Development is hosting more than 300 educators at professional development sessions in Charleston.

The sessions are being held at the Marriott Hotel this week. Educators from across the state have registered to attend sessions as part of the Center’s Teacher Academy and Teacher Leadership Programs.

Among the sessions is the Center’s latest offering, Coaching for School Improvement. This program is a part of WVCPD’s Leadership Programs.

In addition to the Coaching session, WVCPD will also offer Teacher Academy training for educators from all disciplines and levels of experience. These sessions address establishing effective rules, fostering positive relationships in the education setting, as well as accommodating the needs of all students.
