WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - A Waterloo man faces a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of another man at a nightclub in August.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1zF4xfs ) 36-year-old Rodolfo Gonzalez Pena made an appearance in court Tuesday. Online records do not list an attorney.

Pena is accused of shooting 35-year-old Celio Antonio Posada, of Minneapolis, in the early morning hours of Aug. 23. The pair hung out prior to the shooting. Authorities say they still don’t know what led to the shooting.

Gonzalez has been jailed on gun charges since the shooting.
