WARREN, Mich. (AP) - Kmart plans to close four more stores in Michigan by late January.

The Detroit Free Press reports (https://on.freep.com/1rS1I1U ) that the plans by Sears Holdings bring the total number of stores it is closing in Michigan to 12 over a six-month period.

The newspaper reports the four stores are located in Ann Arbor, Bay City, Iron Mountain and Warren. They employ a total of 265 employees. Company spokesman Howard Riefs says the retailer is closing stores while it is working to improve its online sales.
