WARREN, Mich. (AP) - A suburban Detroit man charged with killing his girlfriend and concealing her body in a plastic drum will undergo a competency exam.

Scott Wobbe’s court hearings in Warren were suspended Tuesday until his mental health is evaluated. The process likely will take weeks.

Theresa DeKeyzer’s body was found in September in a drum at a storage site in Plymouth Township. The 22-year-old woman lived 33 miles away in Warren and hadn’t been seen for much of the summer.

Wobbe is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and mutilation of a dead body.
