NEW DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Police in New Durham are investigating the death of a cat a motorist reported seeing thrown from a moving car.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1FSBxl0) a woman told police she was driving west on Route 11 on Friday morning when she saw the cat thrown from the driver’s side of the vehicle. The blue, four-door sedan was three cars ahead of her.

The woman told police she picked up the cat and headed to a veterinary clinic, but it died on the way.

New Durham police have posted photos of the cat on their K9’s Facebook page in hopes of tracking down its owner or anyone who may have information on the case.
