SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Salt Lake City police are asking for members of the public to help identify a man who stabbed a person outside a downtown Salt Lake City homeless shelter.

Police say the man argued over a debt with someone on the street near 200 S. Rio Grande Street on Friday.

The man stabbed the person in the chest and left in a maroon SUV driven by a white woman.

The police department says the man is white, around 25 years old and has blond hair and a goatee.

He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a white and gray T-shirt with jeans.
