COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An international women’s rights leader is delivering the annual Joseph Cardinal Bernadin lecture at the University of South Carolina.

Sister Joan Chittister is speaking Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the School of Law auditorium.

Chittister is executive director of Benetvision, a center of contemporary spirituality. She also co-chairs the Global Peace Initiative for Women, which partners with the United Nations. Her talk is free and open to the public.
