STEVENS, Pa. (AP) - Officials in central Pennsylvania say an elderly woman died in an early morning house fire that also injured her husband.

Fire crews in Lancaster County were called to the two-alarm blaze in West Cocalico Township around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Authorities identified the victim as 87-year-old Anna Weidman. Coroner Stephen Diamantoni ruled the death accidental, caused by thermal injuries and smoke inhalation.

Her 90-year-old husband Charles was flown to the Lehigh Valley Burn Center, where a condition report wasn’t immediately available.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
