NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - Two people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a central New Jersey man who was found at his home last month.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey announced Friday that Roland Amos has been charged with murder in the slaying of Brian Hoey. The two men lived next to each other in North Brunswick.

Carey says Amos’ live-in companion Zoraida Rodriguez has been charged with hindering.

North Brunswick police found the 43-year-old Hoey when they responded to the Belcourt Townhomes in North Brunswick early on the morning of September 1.

It’s not known what led to the shooting.

Amos was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center awaiting the setting of bail.

Both defendants were arrested Thursday evening.
