MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a police chase that injured an officer.

The Baxter Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/1oEH4ks ) 53-year-old Rory Gregory took the plea deal Thursday in Baxter County court. He pleaded guilty to felony charges of second-degree battery, two counts of theft, fleeing and being a habitual offender.

A Mountain Home officer engaged Gregory on Aug. 16 after an all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen. Police say Gregory eventually rammed the officer’s car and tried to run him over. They say the officer punched through Gregory’s window and stopped his vehicle.

The officer suffered minor cuts to his arm.
