ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Aspen Skiing Co. faces a discrimination lawsuit from a former housekeeper who says the company fired her because of her age and a chronic physical impairment.

The Aspen Times reports (https://bit.ly/1BDpvqK ) that the skiing company denies the claims. Arcelia Rojo of Carbondale was fired last year, two years after injuring her elbow while cleaning a shower at the five-star Little Nell Hotel.

The fall left Rojo with chronic “tennis elbow,” and she was transferred to a job at Sundeck Restaurant. The company said Rojo was fired because of “her inability to follow her restrictions.” Rojo was 49 at the time.

Rojo filed a disability- and age-discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which granted her the right to sue. A scheduling conference is set for Oct. 30 in Denver.
