CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Officials in central Wyoming have released the name of a 40-year-old man who died after being shot by officers responding to a reported domestic disturbance in east Casper.

The Natrona County coroner’s office says Randall Williams of Casper died at the Wyoming Medical Center at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, about five hours after he was shot. Officers told state investigators that Williams drew a gun on them.

Coroner Connie Jacobson tells the Casper Star-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1vAzLhX ) that the results of Williams’ autopsy will be available in six to eight weeks.

The two officers were placed on paid administrative leave, per department policy. Their names haven’t been released.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting.
