COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Military veterans enrolled in a VA health care program are being urged to visit the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia in order to get their seasonal flu vaccine for free.

VA officials say veterans may visit their primary care clinic to get the shot on a walk-in basis or make a scheduled appointment from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The shots are also available at Dorn’s mental health clinics on a walk-in basis on Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Specialty clinics are also offering the vaccine during regularly scheduled appointments. Information is available at the flu hotline at 803-695-6701.

Veterans may apply for health care at www.va.gov/healthbenefits/enroll .
