BUCYRUS, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say it is still unclear if a 15-year-old girl who’s been missing for more than a week left her north central Ohio home voluntarily or involuntarily.

The FBI joined the search for Rebecca Kemper Thursday at the request of local law enforcement agencies.

Kemper was last seen by her mother at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Her mother called police after discovering the girl’s bedroom window open and her daughter nowhere to be found.

The Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum reports (https://ohne.ws/1tnqtDh ) Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent said at a press conference Friday that authorities have questioned a male who had cellphone contact with Kemper before she disappeared.

Officials say the home-schooled teen is 5 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue pajamas.
