GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a Grand Junction police officer repeatedly vandalized the home of a former girlfriend and wrongfully used a law enforcement database to get her personal information.

Police on Thursday arrested 37-year-old Gage Wright on charges including felony criminal mischief and domestic violence. The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1yC2Pv3 ) reports that Wright is accused of spray painting profanity at the home of the woman, a 911 dispatcher who is married to a Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Authorities say the woman recently received a permit to carry a concealed gun, which required her to enter her home address into a law enforcement database. Police say Wright committed official misconduct by accessing the database to retrieve her information.

Wright has been suspended without pay. Court records do not list an attorney.
