BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas have identified a man whose body was found floating in Lake Mohave, and homicide detectives issued a plea for information about his death.

Las Vegas police provided an undated photo of 27-year-old Domingo Alva-Gonzalez, but no details about the circumstances of his death or evidence in the case.

The National Park Service says Alva-Gonzalez’s body was found Wednesday afternoon by a marina employee at Cottonwood Cove, not far from the Nevada town of Searchlight.

Police wouldn’t say whether a vehicle was parked or seen near where the body was found, whether the body was clothed, how long it had been in the water, and whether there were injuries or obvious signs of foul play.

The Clark County coroner says Alva-Gonzalez was originally from Mexico.
