DETROIT (AP) - Stormy weather is expected in parts of Michigan ahead of a drop in temperatures for the weekend.

The National Weather Service says isolated scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast starting Friday afternoon with winds up to 50 mph possible in places.

Heavy rain is possible. Temperatures were in the 60s and 70s on Friday morning in parts of the state. They were expected to drop into the 40s and 50s by Saturday.
