SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska authorities have arrested a Wyoming driver who they say ran over a pedestrian and sped off.

The Scotts Bluff Sheriff’s Office says the 27-year-old suspect seriously injured the Scottsbluff man on Thursday. The 22-year-old victim suffered a broken neck and severe head injuries. He is listed in serious condition at a Scottsbluff hospital.

Sheriff Mark Overman says the suspect stopped momentarily following the collision but drove off. He was later pulled over by an officer and arrested.

Authorities say the vehicle also clipped a 24-year-old male pedestrian. It’s unclear if he was injured.
