MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen plans to dispatch state Justice Department attorneys and agents to polling sites across the state on Election Day to ensure compliance with state election laws.

Van Hollen, a Republican, plans to send teams to Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Janesville, Beloit, Kenosha, Racine, Wausau, Stevens Point, Waukesha and La Crosse. He says all the attorneys and agents have been trained in election law. He says they’ll observe as well as help local election officials.

DOJ dispatched similar teams during the 2004, 2008 and 2010 elections as well as during the 2012 recall and general elections.
