CODY, Wyo. (AP) - FedEx Ground plans a new hub to serve northeastern Wyoming that could bring up to 70 jobs to Cody.

The Cody Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/1tm6qI2 ) the city’s planning and zoning commission approved the site for the 22,635-square-foot building on Tuesday with several recommendations, including making the fence around the facility wrought iron and setting a maximum height of 33 feet for light poles.

Ruedebush Development & Construction LLC presented the plan to the commission. Engineer Brian Edwards says the company hopes to be operating in the building next year with about 43 employees, with up to 70 employees by 2017.

Some residents expressed concern about the increased traffic. The zoning recommendations include having the trucks avoid the Cody Middle School area.
