LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Jefferson County prosecutor has been fired after a judge deemed behavior in court “inappropriate.”

WDRB-TV in Louisville reported (https://bit.ly/1tlkIu1 ) that Judge Sandra McLaughlin is weighing whether to hold Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Bob Fleck in contempt for his actions during a hearing on Wednesday.

At one point during the hearing, Fleck shouted an obscenity at McLaughlin about the nature of the hearing being held. Fleck also repeatedly yelled at public defender Adam Braunbeck, telling him he was “still wet behind the ears.”

County Attorney Mike O’Connell fired Fleck on Thursday for unprofessional behavior in court.

During a hearing Wednesday, Fleck apologized for the incident, saying he’d been “needled” by Braunbeck.

County Attorney’s spokeswoman Jessie Halladay declined to comment on the termination.
