HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu Emergency Medical Services says a 43-year-old man died when his pickup crashed into the back of a city bus on the Farrington Highway.

The name of the Waipahu driver was not immediately released.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://bit.ly/1p6BFZj) reports the bus at about 12:24 p.m. Wednesday was heading to Waianae and stopped to pick up a passenger in Ko Olina.

The truck smashed into the stopped bus.

Police closed Waianae-bound lanes of the Farrington Highway from 1 to 4 p.m.
